Dr Tobias Bateson, MB ChB, Managing Director

Dr Bateson had the idea for the Rat Mat in 2011 when Dr Martin Preuveneers had £7500 worth of damage to wiring in his car caused by rats. He has spent the last 4 years developing the product.

Dr Bateson founded Hammer Technologies on the 21st Oct 2013 as a platform to develop and market the product. He has a background in Emergency Medicine and is currently practising in the UK. He has experience in product development having developed several for ZenPlugs Ltd. He has experience in product development, internet marketing and business management.

Simon Preuveneers, ACCA, Finance Director 

Simon qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and then worked in investment banking  He has 20 years experience in banking and finance, having worked at UBS, ABN Amro, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley amongst others.

Francis Dufort, Head Of Design, Product Development, Prototyping And Manufacture

Francis has over 40 years experience in prototyping and manufacture. He is an internationally renowned expert in industrial design

Martin Preuveneers, PhD, Marketing and Business Development Consultant

Martin has held several positions at Glaxo Holdings including Director of International Marketing for
respiratory products, in which role he was responsible for global marketing of several multi-billion dollar products
(such as Zantac ®), as well as Director of Marketing and Corporate Director of Business Development. He is
currently Co-President, Chief Operating Officer, and a Member of the Board of Directors of Minivax. He has been
CEO of two venture-backed biotechnology companies.
